Research Conflict of Interest Program

Virginia Tech's Research Conflict of Interest program is responsible for identifying and implementing management strategies for financial conflicts of interest held by investigators.

Investigators are responsible for disclosing to the university any significant financial interest (SFI) held by the investigator or an immediate family member as a part of the investigator's comprehensive disclosure of activities and interests. In addition, investigators must take  FCOI training every four years.

The university requires funding for sponsored projects to be held until these requirements are met to ensure compliance with all related laws and regulations.
