Operations

Six units play an integral role in driving day-to-day activities throughout the Office of Research and Innovation and the research enterprise at Virginia Tech.

These units provide research faculty and administrative personnel support, communicate successes and guidance, and assist in increasing morale.  These core teams play a critical role in empowering the people that make up Research and Innovation at Virginia Tech.

Communications and Marketing

Additionally, the team works closely with the Office of Research and Innovation business and operations, including the Office of Sponsored Programs, the Division of Scholarly Integrity and Research Compliance, and the Office of Laboratory Animal Resources, to develop software requirements, redesign and improve processes, and develop, purchase, implement and integrate electronic research administration solutions in alignment with their strategic goals.

Information Technology

The Information Technology team provides a full concierge-style service to the Office of Research’s business and operations units including critical data analysis, reporting, quality control, outreach, hosting, and maintenance. The team also supports upgrades to electronic research infrastructure services that are provided to the broader research community.
