STEPP Instructions

Users can create their own STEPP account, if they request a STEPP account, send them the following instructions.

  1. Visit https://cdse.usalearning.gov/login/index.php
  2. Click the 'create new account button located at the bottom right of the screen.
  3. Click the continue button.
  4. Enter a new user name.
  5. Complete the Password, Names, and Email Fields.
  6. Select academic institution as the Organization.
  7. Click the Create Account Button.
  8. On the next page, complete only the only required fields.
    • For Military or GS Grade select other
    • For supervisors name enter: John Talerico
    • Phone number enter:540-231-6583
    • Supervisor email enter: jtaleric@vt.edu
  9. Click the finish account button.
  10. A successful submission will result in a confirmation page and a confirmation email.
  11. You can now return to the STEPP login page https://cdse.usalearning.gov/login/index.php and login with the username and password you created.
  12. Once logged in, you can search for the course you need by entering the course number in the Search Courses section on the right hand side of the screen.
