Briefly describe the research project you are planning to contribute to and lead as a postdoctoral associate at Virginia Tech. What is the problem you are addressing? What is the expected impact of your work?
As a postdoctoral associate at Virginia Tech, I plan to lead a research project examining how institutional policies and practices influence research integrity within higher education. This work seeks to contribute to the development of comprehensive and inclusive research integrity frameworks that support institutional efforts to maintain ethical standards and foster public trust in academic research.
Why did you choose to pursue postdoctoral training at Virginia Tech?
My decision to join Virginia Tech stems from my aim to bridge my interdisciplinary background with the evolving fields of research ethics and science policy. Virginia Tech's commitment to fostering ethical research practices and its emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration provide an ideal environment for this integration.
What are you most looking forward to as you begin in this fellowship at Virginia Tech?
I am eager to collaborate with experts in the Division of Scholarly Integrity and Research Compliance (SIRC). The opportunity to work with the SIRC team will broaden my understanding of research ethics and allow me to contribute to and learn from initiatives that align with my research interests.
