Post-Award
Post-award research administration includes the financial, administrative, and regulatory activities that occur after a sponsored project has been awarded.
Effective post-award administration is a shared responsibility among principal investigators, departmental administrators, and the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). Together, they help ensure that sponsored funds are managed in accordance with sponsor requirements, university policies, and applicable federal, state, and industry regulations.
OSP’s post-award administrators offer expertise in financial accounting and contract administration and serve as liaisons with academic departments and sponsors, other OSP teams, the Controller’s Office, and the purchasing department.
The post-award team is comprised of two units:
Sponsored Agreements Management
Associates on the sponsored agreement management team support researchers based on institution, college, or department organization number. Find associates by organization on the Portfolio Assignments webpage or in the Award Management System. A project authorization notice (PAN) will also have the associate’s name at the bottom of the notice.
Financial Management and Compliance
Associates on the financial management and compliance team are assigned portfolios by sponsor. Find associates assigned to specific awards in the Award Management System.
