Designing Your Postdoc

Stanford University has invited Virginia Tech postdoctoral associates to the acclaimed Designing Your Postdoc virtual workshop. Postdoctoral scholars from Stanford, UCLA, and the University of Washington will also be in attendance.

Postdoc training is more than just research! Apply design thinking to the complexity of a comprehensive postdoctoral training plan to make a bold plan that amplifies interests and values in effort to transition into the career of choice. This collaborative workshop will support new perspectives, identify mentoring needs, and ensure that the individual development plan is thoughtful and balanced.

Note: One hour of pre-work is required for this session. Registered postdocs will receive details for the prework. New registrants will need to create an account.

The program will conclude with Virginia Tech’s Postdoctoral Affairs Program Administrator, Chris Smith, sharing resources and opportunities specifically for Virginia Tech postdocs in a separate breakout room.
