Foundation Relations at Virginia Tech: Connecting Researchers to Foundation Funding Opportunities

In the current sponsored research landscape, investigators who have previously relied on federal funding sources are exploring sponsorship from philanthropic foundations. In this session, Virginia Tech's Innovation and Partnerships Foundation Relations team will explain how they help researchers identify and pursue foundation funding.

Presenters will clarify the team’s role within the university, how their work differs from the Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc., and how they collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Programs to support successful proposal development and submission.
