Kate Trainque joined the Animal Care and Use Program in 2026 as an administrative support specialist.
Background
Trainque brings broad experience from Mill Mountain Zoo, Virginia/Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, and the Biological Sciences Graduate Program. In these roles, she built strong customer service skills, regularly managed communication with a variety of stakeholders, and adhered to mandated regulations.
Education
Trainque earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from Averett University and a Master of Science in anthrozoology from Canisius University.
