Responsibilities
Neil Sedlak serves as the senior director for information technology within the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation at Virginia Tech.
Background
Prior to this role, Sedlak worked for a document imaging company in Blacksburg as the lead developer of a scanning workflow, processing, and indexing application focused on the government sector. He is also highly active in the Blacksburg Volunteer Fire Department, having served as a firefighter, apparatus driver/operator, fire officer, and station captain.
Education
Sedlak earned a degree in computer science, communications, and theater from Virginia Tech, and is currently pursuing a masters of information technology.
