Responsibilities

Cristen Jandreau serves as the director of the Research Conflict of Interest Program. She is the university’s designated official responsible for identifying and managing financial conflicts of interest in sponsored research.

Background

A Hokie, Cristen returned to Virginia Tech from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she focused on developing the Research Conflict of Interest Program and implementing other research integrity initiatives. Cristen has more than ten years of experience as a molecular biologist in fields ranging from preclinical research to epidemiology.

Education

She earned her Ph.D. in biomedical and veterinary sciences from Virginia Tech and holds a Bachelor's Degree in biology from James Madison University.
