National Science Foundation CAREER Award Workshop Series for Social Science Faculty
Each spring, the Institute for Society, Culture, and Environment and the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences partner to provide a workshop series aimed at preparing social science faculty to submit National Science Foundation CAREER Award applications. The series includes 5-7 sessions with didactic information, proposal writing activities, interactive feedback and a mock panel review.

Proposal Development Institute Mentoring Group
Each spring, the Institute for Society, Culture, and Environment provides a mentoring group for a subset of participants taking part in the Virginia Tech Proposal Development Institute. The 4-6 sessions include proposal writing activities and interactive group feedback with the goal to submit an external grant application.
