Highly Cited Researchers

Highly Cited Researchers have demonstrated significant and broad influence reflected in their publication of multiple highly cited papers over the last decade.

Eight Virginia Tech researchers were named to the 2025 Clarivate™ Highly Cited Researchers list for demonstrating significant influence in their fields or across multiple fields through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade. This group of highly-cited researchers represents about 1 in 1,000 of the scientists and social scientists in the world, according to Clarivate.

George Allen, Georgia Hodes, Wenjing Lou, Linsey Marr, Lina Quan, Walid Saad, Wujin Sun, and Viswanath Venkatesh were recognized this year.
