Individual Career Development Grant Programs at National Institute of General Medical Sciences

Marc Rigas, program director in the Division of Genetics, Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences within the National Institutes of Health will lead this information session being held at the Arlington Research Center as part of a postdoc cohort visit to the area.

The National Institutes of Health, and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences in particular, have an array of programs designed to help postdoctoral fellows complete research training and transition to independent research careers. This session will focus on a few of these programs (including the F32 and K99 mechanisms) and on the general grant submission and review process at the National Institutes of Health. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions.

The Zoom option allows for any graduate student or postdoc interested in attending virtually to do so. Individuals not affiliated with Virginia Tech are also invited to attend virtually.

Note: the event will not be recorded.
