To register and access this prerecorded course, go to www.training.vt.edu, and log in using your VT PID/Password.
From the menu at the top click on "view by category", and choose "Office of the VP for Research". Select the course titled "OVPRI-Recording: VT Intellectual Property" and complete the registration process.

In this training you will learn about the Virginia Tech Intellectual Property policy (Policy 13000) and how to identify when your research activities require that you use the policy. The content of this tutorial is split into three main sections:
- Section 1: Introduction
- Section 2: IP Policy
- Section 3: Conclusion/Resources
The first section contains introductory information about the process of intellectual property at Virginia Tech. In the second section, you'll discover critical points about the intellectual property policy. The third section will cover how to locate resources available to you.
