Federal Priorities for Research Funding

A year into the new administration, budget proposals, executive orders, and other policy signals suggest shifts in how the federal government intends to support research. The Office of Strategic Research Alliances is closely monitoring the administration’s funding priorities and how federal agencies may distribute resources, as well as internal changes that could affect proposal review and evaluation.

In this presentation, Steve McKnight and Jon Porter will outline the research areas the administration is prioritizing and describe how day‑to‑day processes at funding agencies may evolve. McKnight and Porter will also offer guidance for faculty as they navigate this changing landscape.
