Grant Management Essentials: A Comprehensive Look at Fellowship Awards and the Award Management System
In this Q&A session, leaders from the Office of Sponsored Programs post-award team will discuss two important topics in the grant management lifecycle.
The first portion of the session will focus on fellowship awards. When developing sponsored project budgets and processing expenditures, careful considerations must be taken to properly categorize student appointments. Understanding the components and distinctions of fellowship awards can help department and fiscal staff properly categorize and code students with fellowships and assistantships.
The second part of the session will focus on the Award Management System. The Award Management System is the primary electronic platform used to manage an award in the post-award and closeout stages. The system is tailored to individual roles in the research community, so users will always see the most relevant, current financial information for their awards.
Attend the online session to gain a thorough understanding of fellowship awards and how to utilize the power of the Award Management System.
