Research Development Series: Leveraging Congressional Support for University Research Initiatives

Virginia Tech’s Office of Government & Community Relations works with the university research community to identify and leverage opportunities to support research initiatives through congressional avenues. In certain limited cases, support for university research can be secured through the congressional appropriations process. Rebekah Gunn, Virginia Tech’s director of government and community relations, will explain when this might be a viable strategy for your research, what processes and unique considerations are involved, and how to work with the government relations team to navigate them.

The virtual event is open to the Virginia Tech community and can be attended online via zoom.
