Students learned about the principals of flight and aviation and practical uses of drones. They also learned to fly drones and compete in a drone soccer. The summer program is part of the K-12 Initiatives at Virginia Tech’s Academic Building One in Alexandria.

Student organization VT CRO designed the blueprint and helped the younger students navigate the finer details of soldering circuit boards, as well as computer coding. The camp also featured a variety of activities around Blacksburg's campus that highlighted different aspects of engineering.
