Trudy M. Riley serves as associate vice president for research and innovation, leading the Office of Sponsored Programs at Virginia Tech.
Background
Previous to accepting the position at Virginia Tech, she served as the executive director of the Office of Sponsored Programs at Georgia Tech and associate vice provost for research at the University of Delaware. For over 20 years, Riley has been actively involved in developing the profession of research administration by serving on the board for the Research Administrators Certification Council, chair of the Financial Management Working Group for the Society of Research Administrators International and their Distinguished Faculty member since 2017.
Education
She earned a masters in public administration from the University of Delaware and is a Certified Research Administrator.
