Responsibilities

Leslie Thornton-O’Brien serves as the research conflict of interest administrative specialist.

Background

With over 15 years of higher education experience, her most recent position was the Selu Conservancy Coordinator and Public Relations Specialist at Radford University.  Leslie previously worked at Virginia Tech at both the Institute for Cricital Technology and Science and Continuing and Professional Education as a Project Manager. During her career in higher education, Leslie has gained experience in project planning, marketing/communications, as well as logistical support while placing special emphasis on developing relationships and supporting administrators, faculty, staff, students and industry professionals.

Education

Leslie earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Virginia Tech, and is pursuing a master’s in strategic communications from Liberty University.
