Introduction to Research Project Management

Virginia Tech postdocs are invited to attend this online event introducing research project management and Georgetown University’s course: the Academy for Transferable Management Skills (ATMS). In this workshop, you will learn about the project management lifecycle, usage of project management in research, and different frameworks for planning out your work.

The ATMS course has five project management modules as well as modules on communicating your skills to new audiences and recorded workshops. Throughout the course, we use example projects related to research to guide you through the material.

Virginia Tech postdocs have access to engage with Georgetown’s ATMS course either online or in-person if they are based in the Washington, DC, area.

This info session will be a great introduction to the course content.
