A Conversation with National Science Foundation Engineering Directorate Program Director Shahab Shojaei-Zadeh
Shojaei-Zadeh will introduce the NSF program he manages, Particulate and Multiphase Processes, and other programs within the Division of Chemical, Bioengineering, Environmental and Transport Systems (CBET) at NSF.
Shojaei-Zadeh received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and was the inaugural Levich Postdoctoral Fellow at the Benjamin Levich Institute of the City College of New York. Before serving at NSF, he was a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at Rutgers University.
He is currently serving as director for the Particulate and Multiphase Processes (PMP) program at CBET. In additon to leading the PMP program, Shojaei-Zadeh is also responsible for managing the AI Institute in Dynamic Systems and represents ENG/CBET in several cross-cutting programs including NSF-CASIS, DMREF, ERI, CSSI, and NRT.
