What We Do
The Human Resources department of the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR-HR) acts as a partner to Virginia Tech’s central Human Resources department and provides human resources support to the employees and departments that report to OVPR at the senior management level.
Additionally, the office provides specialized and direct human resources support to the research faculty and departments employing research faculty university-wide. We liaise with university administrative offices to include university’s HR office, Office of Equity & Access, Provost Office, and Office of International Affairs on recruitment, retention, compensation and employment activities including VISA applications.
We are also strategically focused to deliver services in areas of:
