Limited Submission Funding Programs
Virginia Tobacco Commission proposals function under a separate set of policies than other Virginia Tech limited submission proposals. Read the Tobacco Commission proposal policy here. For all other limited submission programs, please see below.
Effective December 10, 2007, all Limited Submission applications, excluding Tobacco Commission proposals, will be handled through the following website:

Finding the funding program
Virginia Tech researchers interested in participating in the Limited Submission process can now do so electronically. After submitting a Notice of Intent online, researchers will automatically be notified about their status in the process. This information will include word that no competition exists and a submission can go forward to the funding agency, or an internal competition must be held and pre-proposals are required. At each stage of the Limited Submission process, researchers will receive e-mails keeping them informed of various due dates, all in an effort to eliminate confusion and missed communications.

Other policies and procedures for Limited Submissions will remain the same except for those involving Tobacco Commission pre-proposals which have their own rules as indicated at the top of the page. Limited submissions will continue to be listed on the Office of the Vice President for Research website calendar and in the Opportunity Update.
