About Anne Korin

Anne Korin chairs the Set America Free Coalition, an alliance of national security, environmental, labor, and religious groups promoting ways to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil. The coalition was organized by the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security (IAGS) to promote practical ways to make progress toward energy security over the next several years. IAGS is a non-profit public educational organization focusing on energy security that promotes public awareness of the strong impact energy has on our economy and security and of the myriad of technological and policy solutions to enhance energy security, and increase peace, prosperity, and stability in the world.

Korin has advised high tech companies and has worked on a wide variety of projects for such corporations as Exxon International (Esso,) KPMG, and Goldman Sachs. She appears frequently on Capitol Hill and her advice is sought by members of Congress. She has given interviews to CNN, FOX, CBC, NPR, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal, and her articles have been published by Foreign Affairs, Commentary Magazine, and the Journal of International Security Affairs.

Korin earned her undergraduate engineering degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University and is a doctoral candidate at Stanford University.
