About the CREEE

The Consortium for Research and Education on Energy Efficiency (CREEE) provides a forum for interdisciplinary research and education on demand-side (energy-efficiency) technologies and approaches. It seeks to expand opportunities to improve the energy infrastructure in the United States and elsewhere by exploiting means for reducing energy demand in a cost-effective and environmentally sound manner.

Founded in 2009 at Virginia Tech (VT), the consortium consists of faculty members and graduate students working in several colleges and departments, including the College of Engineering, the Myers-Lawson School of Construction, College of Architecture and Urban Studies, Pamplin College of Business, Department of Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management, Program in Science and Technology Studies, the Green Engineering program, and the Center for the Study of Rhetoric in Society (English Department).
